This spot offers a unique charm, especially for car enthusiasts, with rooms named after famous racing drivers and decorated with racing memorabilia. The comfort level in the rooms, especially with crisp linen and the inclusion of a tea and coffee setup, makes for a pleasant stay.
The hotel lacks a lift, which can make getting to the rooms a workout with those narrow, winding staircases—certainly a hurdle for anyone with mobility concerns. The dining experience could use serious improvement. while the restaurant boasts potential, several dishes like the burnt Duchess potatoes missed the mark entirely. breakfast's corporate buffet style feels an unfortunate downgrade from a previously more personal and appealing setup.

Charming Hotel with Memorable Racing History
I had a delightful stay here while exploring the area, enjoying the fantastic ambiance and the unique motor racing memorabilia. The room was immaculate, featuring beautiful decor and offering tea and coffee facilities, which added a lovely personal touch. The restaurant served exquisite meals that made each dining experience exceptional. One small drawback was the limited vegetarian options, which could use some creative thought to elevate the menu further.

The hotel has a charming atmosphere, and I enjoyed exploring La Chartre-sur-le-Loir with my family. We also visited nearby Bercé forest, which offered wonderful interactive experiences for the kids. The themed decor celebrating racing history created a fun vibe throughout our stay.
In my wife’s opinion, thicker mattresses would be appreciated.

I stayed in the Jackie Stewart room, and it was such a cool experience! The themed decor really brought the racing history to life. The room was comfortable and clean, with great lighting. I loved the quirky touches throughout. The linens were crisp, and having tea-making facilities was a nice bonus. Just a heads up, though—no lift, so lugging bags up those stairs was a bit of a workout!
